Why learn to deal with the blind spot?

 

Thousands of children cycle on the street every day and that is not always without danger. The blind spot of large vehicles such as trucks, collection vehicles, buses or tractors is a danger that many children (and adults as well) are not aware of. And that while the consequences of a blind spot crash can be very serious. The danger literally lurks in a small corner. So do the blind spot lesson at your school!

 

What children learn in the blind spot lesson:

• Children learn what the blind spot is, what the dangers are and in which vehicles this occurs.

• They become aware of their own behavior when they encounter a large vehicle in traffic.

• In blind spot situations they can think of how to handle the situation safely.
